IIRC, it is supposed to drop it to 1bpp (as the icon in a database can only be 1bpp). I haven't looked at the code for this in a while though, since I fixed a bug in it that would stop it working (last summer/fall sometime). There is some notes about it in the online help. (Click 'help' on that tab). Is your parser up to date?
