You could extract the text from the PDF-file using Ghostscript and Ghostview.
After that you can use Plucker or JPluck.

----------------------------
Try pdaconverter which is a Windoze only program. It can convert from PDF to TXT/HTML
and then into Plucker in one go. The PDF to HTML is reccomended since certain
atrributes such as bold are retained. Don't expect good results for text in tables
since it just extracts each row as a concatenated line. This is a windows GUI and port
of http://pdftohtml.sourceforge.net/ which can be used under linux.

Go to http://home.arcor.de/derfetzer/palm/pdaconverter_e.html

Adobe have a native PDF Palm reader but it is big, very very slow and the output is
not much better than pdaconverter. I would maybe only reccomend it if the PDFs were
created with Acrobat 5.0 since this is a tagged PDF format and the screen formatting
for a small screen size is better (so I am told). Stick to "convert PDF to HTML" and
use Plucker since it much better, faster and opensource.

Andrew.
