More and more people are talking about plucking
comic strips. An interesting thing you might like to know is about a
project out there called dailystrips. It will grab a slew of comics, save
the images locally and even generate an html page for you.
I use it (slightly modified, er, bastardized) to
update a site I e-mail to myself. I tried plucking it and aside from the
comics that were way too big, it worked. (using jpluck)

My mods just included handling multi-image comics
like Sluggy Freelance. Plus, my version is very old
now.
