David, I discovered the same thing with hires.plkr.org site recently (but it's up now). At the time, I "cheated" and used www.plkr.org/hires/ which worked fine. So, try this: http://www.plkr.org/openurls/ I didn't know about OpenURLs as I just started getting serious with Plucker. My modified URL works and thanks for a usefull link.
