If you're only plucking a single image, I'm not sure if jpluck will allow that.. in which case your HTML wrapper may be needed. However, did you try passing the image through jpluck's imageconverter? There's a link off of hires.plkr.org/multiimage.html to get it. With imageconverter you can turn plucker into a very nice one. Now, if only you could zoom images...
