I would assume it can be handled, or perhaps there is a PDA-friendly version of the site somewhere?
The link on the OS5 browser's default home page for Yahoo! points at http://mobile.yahoo.com/home. Following that link on a desktop browser or the related link in my phone gives me a page hailing from http://wap.oa.yahoo.com/. I have no idea if any of these are stable, public URLs.
