Ahh.. Thank you. I hadn't thought of that as a solution but it makes sense.
I already have to hack the original database because it gives me three versions of the catageory pages instead of one and I compile them into a hacked list. All I would have to do is split the hacked list by sections and run each section independently as separate channels. That's totally worth it. Thank you. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jewett, Jim J Sent: Monday, October 13, 2003 3:10 PM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: plucker size limits > Is plucker going to be able to handle roughly 8000pages and > maybe 10000 large and small images? In theory. In practice, more than 16K records can be a problem, and 10000 images may be a problem just on filesize. You also may run into problems not having enough memory on your machine - which would look like the freeze you got. You could probably do it if you put categories A-C in one pluck, D-G in another, etc. Meanwhile, I'm about to add a feature request for links between documents. It won't be there in the next release, but perhaps eventually you could have a single virtual channel. -jJ _______________________________________________ plucker-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.rubberchicken.org/mailman/listinfo/plucker-list _______________________________________________ plucker-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.rubberchicken.org/mailman/listinfo/plucker-list
