My big question, regardless of all the discussion, is this:

I have a synchronous 384K connection and static IP addresses. Not superfast, but it is synchronous so better than the average home DSL for uploading. Would it be helpful/useful for the crunch time, and if so, would it be more helpful with bittorrent or just the files or what? Or is it just too anemic to be of any value?

I've never used bittorrent myself, but not due to the philosophies being argued. Just never saw the point in downloading and installing an application to allow me to download and install my preferred application. But if that's what would help the team...
