Since there are now _many_ preferences, the layout has changed (in 1.4) for
preferences. Select preferences from the menu and then tap the popup in
the upper righthand corner of the screen (it probably says 'Browsing').
Select 'General' to get to 'Screen Depth' (and other stuff) and 'Button'
to change hardware button settings.

The ability to watch M*A*S*H on demand justified purchasing a VCR for
myself. That show taught me a lot of useful things; for example, if one's
skills are sufficiently in demand, one can wear a bathrobe to work, and
generally have one's eccentricities tolerated.
