I've been looking for ages for a freeware image viewer that can read colour
images from an SD card for my Tungsten W. On my old Handera 330 I was happily
using ZCardZ & PiNGer from the ZBoxZ range of utilities. On my Tungsten W
though ZCardZ etc doesn't work properly. Sometimes it can read images from the
card, but more often that not my device freezes when opening piccies requiring a
reset.
Anyway I remember David D. mentioning once he had used Plucker as an Image
Gallery Viewer (I think it was you David?) - creating a webpage linking to
piccies.
Tried it, & it works really well! I've got a USB Drive that allows me to plug-in
my SD card thats mountable in Linux. On the SD card I put my .pluckerrc in
/palm/Programs/Plucker referencing a small webpage put together linking to
images placed in sub-directories on my SD card. I then run plucker-build
(Spider.py) against that .pluckerrc on my SD card to generate my Plucker .pdb
thats then readable from the card using Plucker.
Another great use for Plucker. By the way 1.6 is fantastic!!!!
cheers

I also think that plucker is a great image viewer but what about
compression?. I think that documents with images are really big,
wouldn't be great to store the images in jpg format? or to be able to
load jpeg images in a expansion card or local pdbs?
