HotSync resources

After installing Plucker and Plucker Desktop I have noticed that my system will "freeze" every once in awhile.  When it is frozen, I check the Task List and find that HotSync is running at 97 to 100% of my system resources.  This occurs ever few minutes.  Anyone have any suggestions?
