Can anyone help me
figure out this problem I have been having?
I am getting
consistent Fatal Error messages (forcing a reset) on my Treo 90 (Palm OS 4.1)
when I run Plucker to view JPluck (version 2.0.3)-converted web pages and
e-docs. The documents are stored on my 128M SD card's memory. The
fatal error occurs when I enter the Library screen during the time
Plucker synchronizes the documents list. If I run the Plucker
app (version 1.6.1) when it starts up in a document, it seems to work OK while
in that document, but when I switch into Library mode, the Treo crashes. I
have to run FileZ and manually delete pdb files to get Plucker to work
again.
HOWEVER, the problem
DOES NOT occur if I don't sync a lot of documents. For example, if I
convert 4 web links (e.g., 4 pda-friendly sites from JPluck's showcase list),
the program will work fine. After some point (and I haven't figured
out when), Plucker will crash if I load too many documents. The point
seems to be somewhere between 8&10 documents, but I have no clue why this
phenomenom is occurring. SInce it works for a small number of documents, I
don't think the JPluck converter or conduit on the desktop, or the Plucker/ZLib
programs on the PDA are the problem.
In trying to debug
the situation, I have manually deleted .pdb's until I delete enough to enter
Library without crashing. I have disabled all my hack programs (using
XMaster), but that has no effect. I have loaded documents onto my Palm
memory (instead of the SD card), but that has no effect
either.
Does anyone have a
clue about this? I'd greatly appreciate any ideas before I try more time
consuming attempts to fix the problem, such as see if there's a specific
document combination or see how many kb of documents causes the
crash.
Thank
you
