I got exactly the same problem, see messages around 3-4 January.

I got around it by
- changing the preferences for destination to RAM (or SD) instead of
hotsync
- creating several .jxl files  (one for frequent updates, one for daily
update, one for manual update) and having the first two updated
automatically on the desktop, using Windows Scheduler

There might be other ways, but this one work fine for me, and it takes
no time at all when I do a hotsync.
