Thanks for the tip. It worked. As an added note, I live in Melbourne, Australia, which is a Daylight Saving Zone and so shouldn't have been susceptible to the problem.
Nonetheless, by applying my Win2k System time to another timezone, back again, and rebooting, magically my local time is being reflected.
