    Normally 'configure' fills in the defaults. @COMICS_DIR@ 's default is
'/var/spool/netcomics' and @COMICSLIST_DIR@ 'a default is
'/usr/local/share/plucker/comics'.

    Try setting (pluck-comics.py) to verbose mode. (add -v to the command
line) It will let you know if if can't fetch the comics.
