It seems that the feed from The Register has stopped working even with the latest version of JpluckX.

Does anyone have a way of getting it to work again?

Thanks,

I was the one who wrote the XSLT script for it. While The Register looks very much the same, its structure is completely different. They have gone from three tables for the article headers to just one. This actually makes it far easier to parse, and my sort routine can now be eliminated. Just the same, if you look at the existing script, you will see just how much work was required to deliver this site to JPluck. It will take more than a few minutes to fix it. I have deadlines for this week and next and will not be able to modify the script until after then. If anyone wants to tackle it before, please let me know so we don't duplicate efforts. Otherwise, I'll make an announcement on this list when I have modified it.

Excellent Ed, I have to say that I wasn't aware of the background processing at all, I thought that it was "just" a very well designed web site!! Please take that as a compliment to your efforts. That is the reason I am so missing my Register intake, it was so easy to read.

Now if someone could just do the same for Linux Today!

I can see that I am going to have to try and understand how JpluckX
actually does things.

Anyway, I look forward to updating when you have time to send something out.
