email option in Plucker, what does it need to work?

I am running Plucker 8.1.  Just to see what would happened, I clicked on 
on email link and filled out the email (changed the to line to send it 
to me as a test).  I don't have an email program on my Zire 71 so at 
first I was surprised to see this option.  I never received any email 
after doing a HotSync and waiting some time.

1. Do I need an email program for this to work or does Plucker complete 
handle sending email on its own?
2. If Plucker handles all the email duties, how do I check on what happened?
3. Where is the email I filled out?  If it is gone, that is fine.  If it 
is sitting on the Palm, where is it so I can delete it?
