You might consider this option:
Run Sitescooper and let it scoop the website, leaving it in html format
(-mhtml option)
Run HTML Tidy (http://tidy.sourceforge.net) on that HTML. It can even be
fixed in place
using the -m option
Have Plucker go at the regenerated HTML code.

I do that with a Spanish language site that started using á and
similar stuff
instead of well known and respected &acute and other HTML simbols.

It worked like a charm

I'd like to inquire if there's any chance getting UTF-8 supported
properly in plucker distiller ?? As a finnish -speaker, it'd be really
nice to have native tongue documents (with all those �'s and �'s) on my
Palm also.

Otherwise, really nice app, I like it much more than f.ex. iSilo.
