While I know there have been attempts to port Python
(the language the core of the Distiller uses) to the
Palm, as I recall there is also a Windows specific
wrapper around that core which would have to be
rewritten.
Let me add a different question. Has anyone tried
running JPluck on a Palm using a Palm OS Java Virtual
Machine? Theoretically Java is portable (but I doubt
that would be that simple).
The generic question is: with the growing number of
powerful Palms that can access the internet, is their
a way to create Plucker files under the Palm OS?
Assuming the answer is no, what is the easiest path to
get there and is anyone who can program (as opposed to
us users) interested in blazing the trail?
