I wonder can Plucker eBooks work with some type of "Text to Speech" engine / application like HipTalk 1.x ( available at PalmGear )?

Gutenberg has a very large portion of their works in mp3 format, read by the Festival engine. I've been using Festival for several years now with xchat to speak text spoken in the channels when I'm not looking at that window, or on that virtual desktop. Its pretty good.

I'd think that playing an 8kHz .mp3 or .ogg would consume much less battery life than having to highlight an entire ebook and play it through something like HipTalk.

Have you tried it with Plucker or other apps?
