Magento is one of the more “sophisticated” carts out there. It’s designed with
very hard separation between functional units, which means if you want to make
the sort of changes you typically see in a shopping cart-- things like “Can you
add the product UPC code as a field” or “can you move this over there”, you
have to edit things in twelve places.
I've used a whole galaxy of carts over time. If you don’t mind that it’s
commercial, CS-Cart is a bit easier to work with, and Zen Cart is capable of a
billion magical things if you install the right addons.

Subject: Magento shopping cart
Hi,
Anyone supporting the Magento shopping cart? If so, from a programming
standpoint, what kind of learning experience did you experience?
Thanks,
Keith
