We get together and plan a lot of meetings and events, and one thing I have realized though all of it is that we suck at promotion. I have suggested on more than one occasion that we start an promotion SIG for PLUG. I would like to get a group of people together that concentrates on promoting our events and collecting knowledge of what works and what doesn't as well as advertising materials that can be reused. In the past we have always tried to have the same people that are planning the event try and promote it as well and the promoting always seems to get overlooked. I think a focused group that doesn't have to worry about anything else could do great things.What do you think? Anyone want to get good at promoting things?
