In February 2011 I moved away from civilizaation, but not by choice. Due to the crappy economy I lost my job and couldn't find another in time to avoid loosing my apartment. My sister lives in Whitley county Kentucky. So I went there. Then I got settled and am in Jellico, Tn. If you haven't been here, you're not missing anything.

Many times locals have asked me why in the hell would I move here. I usually tell them it's because of a BO problem I have, the same one they and 300 million other Americans have.

Thanks. In Arizona I never needed insect repellant. There
weren't enough bugs to make it worthwhile to me. I believe that
here in Tennessee bug repellant is a necessity.

Did you move away?

OMG - that's malaria country, don't you know?

I'd be happy to trade places with anyone tired of the climate
in Arizona. The last summer I was there I had 4 mosquito
bites. Last night I ended up with 6. Someone here asked me
to donate blood last summer. I said I can't because the bugs
        took too much.

Clearly you haven't been exposed to the lathering of repellent
rituals so prevalent in our climate?

I believe the favored chemical this season is 3M UltraThon (made
    of something like 90% DEET).

Of course, for people who disdain the sensual, or rarely have
another human being available for the slathering, we have the
    ThermaCell Incect Repellent:
