try it like
echo >> some new file
ls -l some*
so is the file there?
yes.
Is there an error?
rm some*
echo >>sominex
echo $?
0
so no error.
this will work the same in an embedded script and most commands.
What's easier? to do a simple test like that
or ask a question and wait for a reply in email?
(please don't answer that - it's a rhetorical question)
