I notice that CentOS 6 appears to want the certs here:

/etc/pki/tls/private/
/etc/pki/tls/certs/

and Ubuntu 14.04 appears to want them here:

/etc/ssl/certs/
/etc/ssl/private

My question is does it really matter or are some applications / processes expecting the certs to be in these locations?
