I thought that word for non i3 computers was 'intuitive'. :)
i3, while powerful, has a steep learning curve and is not meant for
everyone.

bizarre gnome-shell thing. On the logon screen you should be able
to pick from a few. If there is only one option I'd recommend

Have you tried creating a new user and logging in with all
fresh settings. That should at least tell you if it's the
program itself or some other settings on your account that are

Yes, I have tried rebooting, to no avail.
As previously posted, I have also tried a reinstall, to no
avail.
Then tried a complete uninstall, fresh install, and

Then tried complete uninstall and deleted all firefox and
mozilla
files and tried reinstall and reboot, but firefox still
crashes immediately.
Everything else on my system works fine.
I hate updates because they have almost always given me fits.
I have tried to keep up with Mint 17 updates, but the last
few times, I
got errors that needed files cannot be found in the
repository.
