Sounds like you are talking about getting paid to creating open source.
I'm thinking about how to creat a business doing programming,
networking, O/S support, etc.

Someone should make a presentation about starting and running a
business
with Linux. You guys spent all this time discussing visas and
employment,
but instead, someone should show how to start a business.
