Did you get this resolved?
I often use nomodeset when setting up my systems initially, until I can
turn off the red hat graphical boot, but I've never run a script to
install drivers, are you trying to install the official AMD graphics
drivers as opposed to the amdgpu open source drivers?

Recently setup a new computer. Trouble is, every time I try to boot (popOS, about to try Ubuntu) it is just a black screen. So I get to the boot loader and add the parameter "nomodeset". This is great, until I run AMD's script to install the drivers. They will cancel saying it uses KMS. But I can't boot without that being off initially... anyone have any suggestions? ---------------------------------------------------
