Because there's always a difference between asking price and price
buyer is willing to buy. In well regulated markets like the stock
market this differential is pretty small. With retail gold, the
difference is greater, because there are few gold buyers. With 2005
Dell Dimension 3000's, there's no market at all: A guy with just the
right sales setup may (or may not) be able toget $169, but an ordinary
geek doesn't have the connections, knowledge and marketing to make it
happen.
