If you inserted a card somewhere, like seqno 30, just make it 30.1, if you delete a card, say seqno 22. On card 21, just write 22 deleted. That way you would know that you weren't missing a card. ...) or 100's. We also had the habit of making major sections br number starting at 1000 or 10000 boundaries.
