Also, most (all?) HTML capable email programs have an option to send in
*both* text and HTML. That makes it very nice for those of us using a
text-based client, and you can still have pretty HTML for everyone who
wants it.

My mail client (Thunderbird) even translates _this_ into underlined text and turns emoticons into smilies in text emails. :)
