Anyone know how to setup dual monitors with ubuntu 8.10 and an ATI card?
Sorry for asking. I don't have time to mess around and figure it out on my
own.
I went into System->Preferences->Screen Resolution and unchecked the clone
option. I was then able to drag one screen to the side of the other. I
think I had to restart X, but otherwise it worked.
I believe I had compiz using the Free Software drivers ( very new card ).
I'm not sure because that machine started having hardware problems before
I got the upgrade to Intrepid to finish :(. It only stays on a few minutes
at most.
