Joseph, can I ctrl-alt-f1 tshipley> nautilus & I'm thinking that wouldn't work because I'm in the wrong shell. It sounds like I need to issue a command in the shell hosting the X-server session or in a virtual shell under GNOME, but how would I do that with no run prompt?
