The instant-on is key for me; I use it for quick web browsing, looking up stuff on IMDB, checking weather, watching movies, and basic time killing stuff like games. Oh ya, jumping on VPN to reboot a host at work real fast (I admin windoz hosts too).
The form factor, for me, is great as well. My Mom has an iPad and it's too bulky for what I use it for.
Again, its all about what you're going to use it for.
