You're not alone. I can't count the number of Winjobs I've been sent in the last few months. This despite the fact that Windows doesn't appear on my resume.
My favorite, though, happened just last week. Cold call from headhunter, talking about a Unix job and then she asks me, "Are you still in St. Joseph, MO?" Once I let her know that I've never lived or worked there, she couldn't get off the phone fast enough. At no point did she say she was actually calling for me, nor bother to confirm I was the person she was looking for.
