I cannot rename the directory from the Recovery/Root prompt, says it is
a read-only file system.
What now?

it from a root shell and/or create a new user.

I did have him boot into recovery mode run DPKG's fix mode, which only
removed 1 obsolete file. Still the same results.
Any Ideas?
