Chrome has non-free plugins bundled with it like flash, to make "the experience" really really great!! and Chromium is the upstream project for Chrome, but without all the packaging etc - the plugins for chrome will typically work for chromium too, after you install them (got it).The Chromium project still has some problems getting included in repos, for example Fedora doesn't have it: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Chromium
