This is assuming that you have alsa correctly
advanced. Your problem seems to be of volume
settings. Set the volume using alsamixer and then
save them by saying 'alsactl store' as root.



Yes, i did that and now I am able hear the sound. But
still there is one problem, i have to do alsaconf
every time i restart the computer. So anything else is
remaing ( i did 'alsactl store', but its not working).


You also have to put 'alsactl restore #sndcard' in your init scripts somewhere
