Hi all,
First off, thanks for all the reponses re: streaming audio. Now I have encountered a new issue. Machines on the internal network (10.0.2.0/24) cannot see the Internet gateway (an ADSL modem at 10.0.0.2) except via the squid proxy. This of course means that they can't use ftp directly either. The rest of the machines on the network are all windows machines, and the most popular ftp program used is leechftp. I have set leech to use the a proxy, and given it the correct settings, but all that happens when I try to connect is
-- connecting to proxy 10.0.2.4:3128 -- connected to proxy
After this it just sits and waits. Is there something special I have to set up in squid to forward ftp packets? I don't have port 21 banned ... so I can't figure out what is wrong
