Yeh 9.1 comes with 2.6; what I meant was that the drivers I got with
the NIC were for 2.4.x and 2.2.x, not for 2.6.x.

I guess I used wrong word "unsupported". The drivers were in form of
source code, but the Readme file said it was only for 2.4 and 2.2, no
mention of 2.6. I think 2.6 wasn't released at that time.

Could this be causing the problem?

Yeh, I thought about that, but so many dependancies! :-(
