I have downloaded 2.6.8 from kernel.org. Its stable version. I have downloaded a tarball not RPM. I compiled the kernel with modules support , actually before this I have compiled the kernel 2.4.x versions but it was like, compiling the it over 2.4.x version so it never gave me a problem.
I tried with lates release of "modutils" too. The message appears is "QM_MODULES : function not implemented" and status of operation is FAILED on insmod.
