I also request the moderators to send mail to the group telling the guidelines to post mails.
A search for "'List Etiquette' PLUG" resulted in the following URL: http://plug.org.in/pipermail/plug-mail/2004-August/012848.html
The experience with this group is really v. bad. The v. 1st mail that I sent was asking for help on lycoris linux. And the replies that I got were so demeaning!
Most of the replies you got on the thread attempted at helping you out. Only a handful of them tried to convey that you should RTFM; which is correct anyway.
Hence in the 2nd mail that I asked for modem help, I clearly mentioned not to act too smart!
This is a public mailing list; you can not *demand* answers; you can *request* them. Mentioning 'Do not act too smart' was asking for trouble; 'trolling' in another sense.
If this is just a forum of linux os, then stop even the mails regarding firefox since it works on windows
<snip>
PLUG intends to foster 'Free/Open Source Software', not just GNU/Linux (its not called 'linux os' FYI).
regards, ambarish
