Knowing the greedy Indian mindset (of politicians and businessmen), I bet they will offer "up to" 8 mbps then say you have a quota of 300mb per month! (Which at 8 mbps will be over in about 5 minutes?!) I will be VERY interested to see what prices they offer compared to the Reliance page we saw...and compared to that Hathway 512 kbps at Rs 250 per month... I wonder, can normal ADSL equipment even go above 1.5 mbps? I doubt BSNL is using any new DSL technology to reach 8 mbps! Plus you need to be located really close (like under 3 km, under 1km better) to the phone exchange, no? The BSNL page says they expect to launch in Dec, so I hope we can all wish each other a really Happy New Year soon! -- "Thou shalt not follow the null pointer for at its end madness and chaos lie." -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) List Information: http://plug.org.in/mailing-list/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
