Greetings: Faced this problem with both Xandros and LindowsOS. These distros are geared towards Windows User Installation experience. Hence they overwrite the MBR. Since, I was just trying out the distros for the user experience, I put in the RHL CD1 and the installer wrote the 512 bytes on the MBR again as part of the upgrade process. In short, when trying a new distro, if possible use a tmp machine. -Saifi. -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) List Information: http://plug.org.in/mailing-list/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
