Red Carpet is not a replacement for YaST. It just happens to be a software update tool from Ximian Desktop. YaST is still a part of Novell Linux Desktop 9 and is available from the Administrator Settings. BTW, NLD 9 isnt really an enthusiast's distro. It is more of a corporate desktop, much like RHL Desktop. It is much thinner on packages than Suse9.2 which itself is pretty thin on apps in the absence of regulars like Quanta+, kuickshow, XFCE, mplayer etc... Also, the licensing is something that I need to read about, since it ships with some commercial apps like the Citrix ICA Client. The per seat licensing cost, I believe is $50.00. The PLUG can possibly get someone from Onward Novell to demonstrate NLD 9, but I doubt whether distribution would be possible, though I am still to refer to the licensing docs.. Yes the PLUG can distribute Suse9.2 Pro discs since there are absolutely no licensing issues involved. > Cheers, > Kapil -- /Sumeet Eat drink and be merry, for tomorrow they may make it illegal. -- ______________________________________________________________________ Pune GNU/Linux Users Group Mailing List: ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) List Information: http://plug.org.in/mailing-list/listinfo/plug-mail Send 'help' to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for mailing instructions.
