There is a script called rconnect that is available on reliance's website. Its 
a simple command-based app that allows you to connect to the internet. It 
works with the tata indicom model too. I did this in Slackware 9.1 and 
Slackware 10, so I guess SuSE 9.1 should be no problem at all.
