See http://delhi.mtnl.net.in/commercial/broadband_tariff.htm , maybe
BSNL will be similar.

(rant follows)

IMNSHO, its a *big* disappointment (the 400 MB quota). If there's a
new Linux distro release (say Mandrake) then I gotta pay about Rs
2000/- to get it? (3 CDs = 2100 MB minus 400MB then into Rs 1.20 per
MB) Its like they are making RMS's vision of Free and making it "free"
(note the quotation and uncapitalisation). If I want to download free
mp3s from www.cdnow.com or free movies from www.ifilm.com I gotta pay
Rs 1.20 per MB... I cannot afford to stay "up-to-date" with regular
Linux (or Windows or Firefox or OpenOffice etc) patches, because the
downloads will cost me extra...

(Further down they mention "Safe Custody Charges per month - Rs. 100/-"...?!)

Although its a big speed-boost over my current dialup (if their
promise of 256 k or 512k actually works out) and I can download lots
more, it will now cost me more (in my usage scenario) than my current
Rs 2000/- to 3000/- per month expense on internet bandwidth... 8-(

What was that petition again? http://www.petitiononline.com/trai ?
Sign it and also mention in your comments how disappointed you are
about the download limit/quota and how it will negatively affect
(hinder) India's economy growth.
