hi sir,
we have a small lan of four computers.
first three computers are connected in a bus topology
using coaxial wire.
while the third & the forth computer r connected
directly to each other using a cat 5 cable. that
means the third computer will act as a bridge if
configured properly
The first one connects to internet through a dial-up
connection.
Rest of the three computers connect to internet using
the shared connection by means of dhcp.
the problem the third computer can not connect to
internet when it is acting as a bridge since it needs
the ip address dynamically through dhcp while the
bridge is assigned address statically.
is there any way i can assign the bridge address
dynamically using dhcp
system configuration is:
all computers running Fedora core 2 ( 2.6.5-358 kernel
)
all computers have realtek 8029 cards
regards nishant
