Hi guys,
Recently got the new Release Debian 5.04 "Hoary Hedgehoge".
've 10 copies if anybody needs can give 7copies to first 7 responders
only. The rest can copy from each other. Plz. do this thing off-line
so that everybody doesn't need to read.
From my point of my the upshot of this release at first
glance(Live CD) are:-
1. Gnome 2.10: The GUI has vastly improved & the theme provided is
excellent. Even my mother enjoyed it :-)
2. As always it's a Debian based distro. so not much know-how in that.
3. Synaptic Pkg. Mgr. & it's good.
4. Hindi Language Base Localization files 've been included this time
so menus everything improved much more.
5. After seeing the 3cd MDK 10.2/Mandriva (Can anybody suggest me a
shortform for Mandriva maybe MDV? U'r Views?)n the documentation on
the CD is excellent.
The only downside I could see is :-
1. As only few applications are bundled for the rest it goes to
Ubuntu's archives to access applications. This is good for only people
with persistent Net Connectivity. Maybe this can be reduced in the
future with a DVD.
2. My own understanding of debian but that's me :-)
