Hi!

I haven't used these (and don't even know how to use!!). Maybe you'll find it
useful:

AlsaModularSynth:
A realtime modular synthesizer for ALSA. All parameters can be modified in
realtime via MIDI. (this is what it's readme says)

You might also want to go through:

ZynAddSubFX:
I don't know what this is, but looks very complicated!! :-O

terminatorX:
terminatorX is a realtime audio synthesizer that allows you to "scratch" on
digitally sampled audio data (*.wav, *.au, *.ogg, *.mp3, etc.) the way
hiphop-DJs scratch on vinyl records. It features multiple turntables,
realtime effects (buit-in as well as LADSPA plugin effects), a sequencer and
MIDI interface - all accessible through an easy-to-use gtk+ GUI.

All these came with SuSE 9.3. Some more are there. Maybe you can check them
out

Regards,
Kapil
